Choices...

In life we make many choices.

We choose a major in university,
we choose the color of our cars,
we choose music to play,
we choose places to have dinner,
we choose friends,
we choose who to love,
we choose the people we will confide in,
we choose people to hate,
we choose to trust,
we choose to believe,
we choose to overreact to situations,
we choose to be crazy,
we choose to fall in love,
we choose to share a first kiss,
we choose to share many other kisses,
we choose the color of the drapes,
we choose to wake up every morning and live our lives,
we choose to make love to a person,
we choose a job,
we choose to be nice,
we choose to be mean,
we choose to hurt and
we choose to heal….

With so many choices in life it is easy to lose appreciation for the choices made by others…

It is easy to not appreciate that a person has chosen you to confide in.
It is easy to not think that being chosen to share a kiss is special,
It is easy to think that being chosen for anything is not a big deal,
It is easy to feel nothing when someone chooses you to be something…

So, I want to tell you that I appreciate all the times I was chosen to be confided in,
I appreciate all the times I heard the words “I love you”,
I appreciate being chosen to share a kiss,
I appreciate being made a person that you will never forget…
